On July 23rd avid fans will witness a keenly anticipated clash, when Yessica “Kika” Chavez and Esmeralda “Joya” Moreno collide, with the WBC flyweight title on the line at the International Arena Oasis Cancun.
Esmeralda Moreno has won 33 of her 48 matches. She defeated “Kika” Chavez on February 19, 2011, winning the WBC silver light flyweight belt. Then after 5 defenses, she progressed to win the absolute world champion defeating Naomi Togashi at the Miguel Hidalgo Gym in Puebla.
“Joya” didn’t lose the title in the ring as she vacated to become a mother in 2013. She now says she will become the champion all over again. She reaches this bout after winning three titles defeating Austrian, Eva Voraberger, in Austria.

She has defended the belt 2 times defeating to Italian Simona Galassi and Argentinian and Vanessa Taborda.
The fight will be broadcast on July 23rd to all Mexico through Televisa Deportes.
