World Boxing Council light flyweight champion, Ibeth “Roca” Zamora, and her rival Keisher “Fire” McLeod, from N.Y. squared up briefly prior to their Saturday night clash in Metepec.
“I am delighted to be here again. I am thankful to my promoter as he keeps me busy with great activity. She comes determined to take my belt. She is taller than me with longer arms…but she’s got a fight on her hands! This is my home and I am ready to defend it, fighting off any challenger,” Zamora grimly commented.
Keisher claimed she won’t fail now she has the opportunity she’s been awaiting, since her ver first moment as a pro boxer: “I am happy to be here in Mexico, I am going to fight against the best fighter of the division, I am going to prove I am the best, returning home with that Green and Gold belt.”
