Late replacement cruiserweight Tamas Lodi (18-10-2, 15 KOs), from Hungary, fervently lasted four rounds against undefeated local co-challenger Yves Ngabu Sunday night in Roeselare, Belgium, in a Filiep Tampere promoted card. The two men exchanged hard blows in the first three stanzas standing in front of each other for the most part of the time, but was Ngabu (18-0, 13 KOs) the man who appeared to get the lead as referee Christophe Hembert stopped Lodi who firmly disagreed with the decision. Lodi took the fight with a very short-notice after several injuries had already forced co-challengers Geoffrey Battelo and Mirko Larghetti to pull out of the contest. However, the first will now occupy the mandatory spot for the newly-crowned European champion Ngabu and will have the right to play his chances once he’s fully recovered from an injury that occurred in a car accident.
