FILIPINO boxer Recky “The Terror” Dulay (9-2-0, 6 KOs) and his opponent Jaime “Jaimito” Arboledo (10-0, 9 KOs) from Panama both made their weights last July 13 for their 6-rounder bout on July 14 at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
Dulay, 23, tipped the scales at 130 lbs. while Arboledo submitted 129.6 lbs.
It will be Dulay’s comeback fight in the United States since he lost by a first round knockout to Gervonta Davis at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2015.
Dulay has now been training at the Wild Card Gym under new trainer Rodel Mayol, a former WBC world light flyweight champion from Mandaue, Cebu.
Dulay is now managed by film producer-businessman Rey Rodis Jr., a son of President Rody Duterte’s political supporter Rey Rodis Sr. and a grandson of the late boxing promoter-manager Antonio Almirante of Cagayan de Oro City.
The Dulay-Arboledo bout is in the undercard of the Golden Boy Promotions of promoter Oscar De La Hoya. The boxing event which is under the California State Athletic Commission will be shown on USA Estrella TV.
