For Nery this is his first World title shot. For Yamanaka, it’ll be the 13th occasion that he defends the title that he conquered in November 2011. For “Pantera” will be his first Japanese opponent, for Shinsuke it’ll be his sixth Mexican rival. So far, all have come unstuck.
“We came to Japan to achieve my dream, the goal of my company Zanfer of Fernando Beltrán, crowning me world champion and returning to Mexico with the green and gold belt,” said Luis, who plans to stick to the champion like glue.
In superb shape, Nery successfully passed the pre-weighing 7 days before this monumental clash.
