THREAT TO BUSINESS! OMAR CHAVEZ VS ROBERTO GARCIA FOR THE WBC SILVER BELT

The most significant fight of his career looms for Omar Chavez Vs Roberto Garcia, this Saturday at the Nuevo Leon Unido Gymnasium of Monterrey.

“Businessman” Chavez (36-3-1, 24 ko’s) and “Threat” Garcia (40-3-0, 24 ko’s) will clash for the vacant Silver belt of the World Boxing Council in a Zanfer promotion. The card will be broadcast via Azteca 7 for all Mexico.

“I’m in excellent shape, combining speed, with great motivation. The fans will see a great fight because Garcia is a strong and very brave. But I myself, will leave with my arm raised, holding the Silver title of the WBC,” promised Omar.

Omar trains with Eduardo Montiel, brother and coach of former world champion “Kochulito” Montiel, stating he has improved a lot.

“The talent must be accompanied with effort. Now that I know that the Silver WBC belt will be at stake. So, the motivation to get out of there and gain victory has increased. At this point I cannot make mistakes,” pledged Chavez.

His father, the legendary Julio Cesar Chavez, who was watching his training camp, commented:

“I’m happy with what I’ve seen, because he’s taking things very seriously.. Since the fight with “Innocent” Alvarez, he has changed, but he must keep working hard.”
