World Boxing Council female heavyweight champion Alejandra Jimenez and Canadian Vanessa Lepage are poised for a slugfest at Cancun’s Oasis Arena, this Saturday night.
“I’m happy to be back in my house and that legend Bernard Hopkins will be present to watch me win by a big KO,” said the champion.
Lepage commented: “I want to give thanks for the opportunity. We are going to give a great show. I’m sure of the job that I made in the Gym and that WBC belt goes with me to Canada ”
Jimenez became world champion by defeating the tough American Martha Salazar in 2016. She has an unbeaten career record in professional boxing, with 8-0 record including 6 KO’s.
Vanessa will be making her first professional fight outside Canada, and at only 22 years she is undefeated too, albeit in three fights.
