Undefeated Andre Ward fights  Colombian, Alexander Brand on Saturday at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, to prepare for his megaclash with  Sergey Kovalev.

“Son of God” Ward, aged 32, and Brand, 39,  were scheduled to fight on November 21, 2015 at the Oracle Arena.

In spite of scant ring time, due to injury. Ward stated he still has speed and exquisite boxing skills, remaining one of the best pound for pound fighters of today.

On March 26, Ward  defeated Cuban Sullivan Barrera at the Oracle Arena,  in the 175 pounds light heavyweight division, in front of more than 19,000 fans. He explained:

“I am recovering my speed and trying to solidify my skills in order to get to the top again. I want to be a multi world champion and with God´s will I will reach  the top.”

Brand, a veteran fighter, has only fought three times in the US. In his last appearance  he defeated Russian Medzhid Bektemirov, on December 5 in Florida.  He also defeated Terrance Woods in 2011 and he was defeated by Badou “The Ripper” Jack, the WBC super middleweight world champion.
