Ovince Saint Preux steps in vs. Corey Anderson at UFC 217

Ovince Saint Preux is a busy man these days.

The light heavyweight contender from Tennessee is just coming off his UFC Japan victory over Yushin Okami on Sept. 23, but he’s getting right back into the Octagon.

Saint Preux (21-10) will step in for Patrick Cummins and meet Corey Anderson at UFC 217 on Nov. 4 at Madison Square Garden. MMA Fighting confirmed an initial report Thursday by Newsday.

OSP takes a two-fight winning streak into bout, having also defeated Marcos Rogerio de Limaon April 22. Both of his most recent wins have come via submission to the Von Flue choke.

Anderson (9-3), meanwhile, is looking to get back into the win column. The TUF 19 winner was knocked out by Jimi Manuwa in the main event of UFC London in March, marking his second loss in his past three fights.

Cummins recently pulled out of the fight due to a nasty staph infection.
