After almost a year, the World Boxing Council female lightweight champion, Belgian Delfine Persoon, is returning to the ring VS France’s Myriam Dellal on Nov. 11 in Zwevezele, Belgium.
Delfine says she underwent a couple of surgeries to correct some problems concerning her fists. She confirms that the rehabilitation has been successful and that she’s now ready and prepared to climb back into the ring and defend the WBC crown.
“These 10 months out of the ring have gone quite fast. I stayed in good shape, despite the surgeries. Now I’m in excellent shape and I’m at my best.
“I wanted to repair my injury because as a professional fighter and world champion, I need my hands to be in 100% condition. Fortunately everything went well. My Coach says that I’m fighting fit, so I can guarantee a great return to the ring!”
