UNDEFEATED Reymart “Gensan Assassin” Gaballo will be seeing action on June 26 in the Brawl at the Mall: The Next Generation slated at the Gaisano Mall Atrium in General Santos City.

Gaballo will be facing former Philippine Boxing Federation super bantamweight champion Jilo Merlin of San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.

“Reymart Gaballo is the next big thing out of Sanman Gym,” said Sanman’s chief executive officer Jim Claude “JC” Manangquil.

The 19-year old Gaballo has scored 11 knockouts of his 13 straights wins against no loss or draw.

“(But) we are just taking our time when he fully matures,” said Mananquil.

Manangquil said that Gaballo still needs more experience.

“I also want to see him go to distance. But overall he is an incredible talent,” said Manangquil.

In his previous fight, Gaballo displayed his powerful punches and the ability to withstand against a dangerous fighter as he knocked out in 1:01 of the opening round slugger Marlon Arcilla in the undercard of the Brawl at the Mall: Unbeaten held April 30 at the Makati Square Cinema in Makati City.

“He has that power that I have never seen before,” Mananquil said.

Gaballo’s other KO victims in the past were Bryan Samson, Romulo Ramayan Jr., Frejun Dela Cruz, Rocky Alvarez, Michael Padayag, Zaldy Jordan Jr., George Auguis, Bryan Dave Casumpang, Kevin Cabonales, and Jayson Engalan.

Meanwhile, 27-year old Merlin is toting a record of 13 wins, 26 loses and 2 draws.

In his last fight, Merlin lost by a knockout to Jessie Cris Rosales in their battle for the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) featherweight title last March 9 at the Cawayan Social Center, Cawayan in Masbate.

Merlin also fought in eight different championship fights but only won one of them. He captured the vacant PBF super bantamweight title by knocking out Jestoni Pepito last September 16, 2011 in Bislig City.

Merlin, however, lost twice to Junny Salogaol      (PBF bantamweight title) and bowed to Jun Qiu Xiao    (vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental super bantamweight title), Tabtimdaeng Na Rachawat  (PABA bantamweight title), Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym       (PABA super bantamweight title), Sod Kokietgym (WBO Asia Pacific super bantamweight title), Diarh Gabutan (vacant WBO Oriental bantamweight title) and Pungluang (vacant WBO Asia Pacific Youth bantamweight title).
