Argentine champion Ricardo “Bebo” Villalba, totally ready to face unbeaten Russian Ismail Iliev, for the vacant WBC international Super Welterweight title.
It’s the red star bout this Saturday, December 9, at the Evloev Sports Palace in Nazran, Russia, in a SKV Boxing promotion, which will be broadcast on TyC Sports starting at 3:00 p.m.
On Friday afternoon, both of them did very nicely at the weigh in ceremony in the crowded conference room of the Artis Plaza Hotel, leaving everything ready for their clash.
Villalba, weighed 151.8 lbs, while Iliev registered 153.8 lbs.
“We knew that there would be no problems with this. I was at weight for several days thanks to the hard training that I did. I am very happy for this opportunity,” commented the Argentine fighter.
The Ring Officials appointed by the WBC are : the Belgian Referee Daniel Van de Wiele. The Judges will be Predrag Aleksic (Montenegro), Olena Pobyvailo (Belgium) and Alexander Kalinkin (Russia). The Supervisor will be Russia’s Vladimir Laptev.
