Veteran referee Herb Dean will be the third individual in the cage when Cris Cyborg defends her UFC women’s featherweight title against Holly Holm at UFC 219.

Dean was unanimously selected to oversee the championship bout at a Tuesday meeting of the Nevada Athletic Commission. He will be paid $1,800 for the night’s work.

Additionally, Las Vegas regulars Derek Cleary, Dave Hagen, and Chris Lee were selected to judge Cyborg vs. Holm, which headlines the UFC’s year-end show. All three judges will be paid $1,500 to work the contest.

UFC 219 takes place Dec. 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Cyborg (18-1, 1 NC) captured the UFC women’s featherweight title with a third-round TKO overTonya Evinger in July. She is an undefeated 3-0 in the UFC and has not lost in 19 straight bouts dating back to 2005. Cyborg is widely considered the No. 1 pound-for-pound female fighter in the sport.

Holm (11-3) snapped a three-fight losing streak with a vicious third-round knockout of Bethe Correia in July. A former champion boxer, Holm drew worldwide recognition in 2015 for her stunning head-kick knockout of former UFC superstar Ronda Rousey. Holm suffered a controversial title loss to Germaine de Randamie in her only MMA appearance at 145 pounds.
