Another female fight was booked for UFC Belem on Feb. 3 in Brazil, as Maia Stevenson faces Polyana Viana in a strawweight contest, the promotion announced following a report by Combate.
Stevenson (6-4) competed as a flyweight on the TUF season that just crowned the company’s first women’s 125-pound champion, losing to Sijara Eubanks in the first fight. She will cut down to 115 pounds for her official Octagon debut.
Stevenson went 5-0 in her last five official MMA bouts, but neither of those opponents had previously won a fight.
Viana (9-1) is a former Jungle Fight strawweight champion who makes her debut under the UFC banner after winning five in a row with first-round stoppages, including a stoppage over future UFC fighter Amanda Ribas.
Tickets for UFC Belem go on sale Friday, but the company has yet to announce the main event. The current fight card for the Mangueirinho Gymnasium can be seen below.
