World Boxing Council super flyweight champion, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai wins the best “Professional Athlete of 2017, ” presented by the Thai Sports Authority.
What a year for Srisaket, who`s thrilled the Thai people, by twice defeating Nicaraguan sensation Román “Chocolatito” González.
In March Rungvisai regained the title, by defeating Gonzalez via decision in a very competitive fight. However, in their second fight in September, he left no residue of doubt, with a mighty and impressive KO.
Sor Rungvisai commented: “I feel so very honored to receive the recognition of the people. I congratulate all the Thai teams and athletes who were also honored. I wish you a successful 2018, continuing to make our country proud. ”
Srisaket`s trainer Chokchai Pisitwuttinan was also recognized as the best “Professional Coach of the Year.”
