BARRIOS VS PORTER FOR NABF CROWN

By WBCboxing.com

Unbeaten sensation Selina “Reina Azteca” Barrios, fights  Lisa Porter, for the NABF lightweight title, on December 29 at the Alexandria Parish Coliseum, Los Angeles.

Barrios has won the Ringside World Amateur Championship  four times, plus numerous national championships as an amateur field. Porter also had a brilliant  amateur career. She won three national championships, the US Gold Gloves Tournament  and was a silver medalist for the United States. Both boxers have undefeated records.

“I am very excited to fight for the NABF title. All I want is an opportunity to win a world title. Winning the NABF belt will bring me appreciably closer to my dream of becoming a world champion. I know I’m going to face a dangerous opponent. But I’m willing to fight anyone in front of me in the ring. I’m sure I can win this fight. I just want to fight against the best to prove who I am,” boldly Selina Barrios.

“I’m glad that Selina Barrios and I have reached an agreement for this fight to take place, especially with the NABF title at stake. It has been difficult to get opponents to get in the ring with me, so this is really a blessing. I am very grateful with all the NABF people  for sanctioning this fight. Selina Barrios is going to be a difficult test, but one that I think I can pass. The fans will see a great fight,” promised Lisa Porter.
