ERIK SKOGLUND AWAKENED FROM COMA

Super middleweight fighter Erik Skoglund, has been  gradually and gently awoken from an induced coma by doctors , and he is conscious  as well as  receptive.

With the inflammation of his brain sufficiently reduced, doctors began the delicate process of awakening Erik  and so far, they are satisfied with the results.

Erik is showing positive and encouraging signs. He’s breathing on his own, and is responding  how doctors expected, even though he remains in intensive care.

In the coming days, Erik will undergo a comprehensive series of tests, which will reveal what effect his injuries will have in determining his future.

The World Boxing Council and its President Mauricio Sulaiman, send their best wishes and prayers for Erik´s recovery.
