Gamrot (13-0-0, 1 NC) is coming off his no-contest showing over rival and UFC veteran, Norman Parke, in Dublin at KSW 40.

The fight was stopped after Parke suffered two illegal eye pokes over the opening two rounds. Although the bout was scheduled to be a lightweight title fight, Parke came in over the championship limit forcing KSW to change it to a three-round, non-title bout.

Parke got a rematch against Gamrot after coming out on the wrong side of a decision to the Polish lightweight. The Northern Irish fighter claimed that Gamrot had bitten his finger when he applied a front headlock during their first meeting at KSW 39, which led many to call for a rematch.

Gamrot captured KSW’s vacant lightweight championship with a decision win over Mansour Barnaoui at KSW 35. He defended the belt for the first time at KSW 36 with a second round leglock submission over Brazilian veteran, Renato Gomes. “Gamer” will look to claim his tenth win under the KSW banner when he takes to the cage to face Szulakowski.

Szulakowski (9-1) has not suffered a defeat since his sophomore outing as a professional when he lost out to future UFC fighter Teemu Packelan. Since then, he has finished six of his eight opponents and claimed four victories under the KSW banner.

Victories over Patryk Grudniewski, Bartlomiej Kurczewski, Renato Gomes and Kamil Szymuszowski led “Szuli” to his lightweight title showdown against Gamrot.

KSW 42 is set to be a big night for the promotion as they welcome back Polish legend and middleweight champion, Mamed Khalidov, who looks to take out a third promotional champion, light heavyweight Tomasz Narkun, on the night. Also in action, UFC veteran Scott Askham is set to make his KSW debut against another Polish fan favorite, Michal Materla. Ariane Lipski is also scheduled to compete on the night, but her opponent has yet to be announced.
