The first of four UFC events on tap for February takes place in Belem, Brazil on the 3rd. In the main event, Lyoto Machida looks to avoid yet another defeat, as he battles up-and-coming ex-Alabama football player Eryk Anders. The co-main is a compelling bantamweight affair between John Dodson and Pedro Munhoz. Also featured is former women’s bantamweight title challenger Valentina Shevchenko, who is dropping down to flyweight to face newcomer Priscila Cachoeira.
All things considered, this is a good-looking event for a Fight Night on FS1. The bad news is that it’s a three-hour main card with a 10 PM ET start time, and you know what that means. Hopefully the fights are entertaining enough to render pacing complaints moot.
