The UFC’s upcoming London lineup now sits at an even dozen.
Former Cage Warriors middleweight champion Jack Marshman will compete at 170 pounds for the first time when he takes on England’s own Bradley Scott at UFC London in a welterweight bout on March 17, officials announced Monday.
Scott is stepping in on short notice for Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos, who was recently forced to withdraw due to a knee injury.
Marshman (22-7) will be looking to reinvent himself at welterweight after going just 2-2 in the UFC since joining the promotion in November 2016. The 28-year-old Welshman most recently fought at UFC Sao Paulo last October, where he was submitted in the first round by Antonio Carlos Junior.
A runner-up on The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes, Scott (11-5) will also be dropping back down to 170 pounds for the first time since competing on that show. Like Marshman, he has alternated wins and losses as a UFC middleweight, going 3-3 with a first-round TKO loss to Jack Hermansson in his last outing at UFC Mexico City this past August.
UFC Fight Night 127 will take place at The O2 Arena in London, and features a headlining bout between former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum and former Bellator and M-1 heavyweight champion Alexander Volkov.
