Garcia-Lipinets, Valdez-Quigg, more: Boxing fight times and TV schedule for March 9-10

Badlefthook.com

Friday, March 9

SHO, 10:00 pm ET, Regis Prograis vs Julius Indongo. Prograis-Indongo is plenty enough reason to tune in, and Ivan Baranchyk is still scheduled to fight against an opponent to be named, after Anthony Yigit pulled out late. BLH will have live coverage.

ESPN2, Midnight ET, Ronny Rios vs Azat Hovhannisyan. Technically a Saturday fight, but that’s not how many people think, so why confuse the schedule?

Saturday, March 10

SHO, 10:15 pm ET, Mikey Garcia vs Sergey Lipinets, Rances Barthelemy vs Kiryl Relikh, Richard Commey vs Alejandro Luna. A tripleheader with a late start from Showtime, as this show had to be shoved into the schedule after originally being slated for February 10. Garcia-Lipinets is for Lipinets’ 140-pound belt in the main event, Barthelemy-Relikh is a rematch, and Commey-Luna is an eliminator at 135. BLH will have live coverage.

ESPN, 10:30 pm ET, Oscar Valdez vs Scott Quigg. Another later than normal start time, this one because it’s a big college basketball Saturday on ESPN. With that in mind, be prepared to channel hop early or wait for a delay, because the ACC tournament final will precede these fights. Valdez is already particularly fan friendly, Quigg is his best opponent yet, and this fight’s at the StubHub. Could be a burner. BLH will have live coverage.
