During Wilder´s fight with Arreola, the champ suffered a fracture to his right hand and a severe bicep injury, requiring immediate surgery.
“I have always known that my body recovers rapidly, as I am an elite boxer. Once I`m fully recovered…and it won`t be long, I`ll be back with everything I `ve got” Wilder intrepidly pledged.
“The surgeries were done by prestigious specialists and were a complete success. I think Wilder will be fighting in the first days of next year. While he is in recovering, he will have some rehab to maintain his amplitude and power. He`s retained the power in his right hand, and might even increase this, with rehab.” Dr. Jimmy Robinson, commented.
Promoter Lou DiBella, commented: “We are delighted with the surgeries, and Deontay is well on his way to a full recovery. He`s real champion and he will work all the harder to return better than ever”.
