Spike O’Sullivan’s promoter confirms Canelo fight –
It seems Spike O’Sullivan [27(19)-2(1)] dropped Dropkick Murphys frontman Ken Casey right in it – but the Murphys…

Said promoter, the Dropkick Murphys’ own Ken Casey, made the statements in an interview with SiriusXM Boxing.
O’Sullivan (27-2, 19 KO), who tore up Antoine Douglas in September, was in talks to fight Danny Jacobs before Maciej Sulecki got the call instead. Besides being a natural middleweight, he has nothing for Canelo (49-1-2, 34 KO); there’s an argument that he didn’t win a single round against Billy Joe Saunders or Chris Eubank Jr.
Alvarez would thrash him and look good doing it.
Whether this winds up being empty hype or not, there’s still a lot of year to go between now and then and any number of shenanigans that could ensue if Canelo-GGG II winds up as controversial as the first one.
And, of course, all of this is moot if O’Sullivan falls to TBA on May 4th.
