Gina Mazany and Lina Lansberg will lock horns at Liverpool’s Echo Arena on Sunday, May 27.
UFC announced the bantamweight showdown through its social media channels on Friday morning.
A contestant on TUF 18, Mazany had fought just one time in three years before she stepped up the plate to fight Sara McMann at UFC Fight Night Halifax last February.
Although the former title contender submitted her in the first round, “Danger” got back to winning ways when she bested Yanan Wu over three rounds at UFC Shanghai nine months later.
Mazany put together a 3-0 record to gain a call up to TUF 18. She lost a unanimous decision after two rounds in her first fight against the eventual winner, Julianna Pena.
Lina Lansberg was handed a baptism of fire from the UFC when she was pitted against Cris Cyborg in a 140-pound catchweight bout for her debut. After losing in the second round against the Brazilian, “Elbow Princess” scored a decision win over Lucie Pudilova at last year’s UFC London event.
In her last outing, Lansberg welcomed Invicta prospect Aspen Ladd to the Octagon in Gdansk. Ladd took a win on the night with a second-round TKO.
