Mariana “Barby” Juarez, who`s one of the most important and successful Mexican female boxers, returns to the ring this Saturday at the Iconic Arena Coliseo in Mexico City, to face Argentinian, Daniela Romina Bermúdez.
This match will be a female bantamweight eliminator. The winner will earn the right to challenge world champion Catherine Phiri, from Zambia.
Accomplished and experienced Mariana comes equipped with a fight with a record of 43-8-4, 17 KO´s. In her latest match on May 14th, she defeated Japan`s Tamao Osawa. Mariana debuted as pro in 1998.
Daniela Romina Bermudez, better known as “Bonita”, has a pro record of 20-3-2, 6 KO´s. She`s been fighting in the female professional ranks since 2010. She has fought in 14-title bouts in 4 different divisions, having defeated fighters Soledad Matthysse, Judith Rodríguez and Lupita Martínez. In her latest bout she defeated Marisa Portillo in Santa Fe, Argentina.
