Paul Redmond vs. Gracjan Szadzinski set for KSW 44

Paul Redmond will look to get one step closer to the KSW lightweight title when he meets Gracjan Szadzinski at KSW 44 in Gdansk, Poland on June 9.

KSW confirmed the bout with MMA Fighting Monday.

UFC veteran Redmond (14-6-0) has gone 4-1 since his exit from the world’s flagship MMA promotion. His only defeat since leaving the UFC was somewhat controversial as many felt he had done enough to win his bout against Norman Parke at BAMMA 28. The Northern Irish fighter walked away with a majority decision victory on the night.

In the last year, the Team Ryano submission specialist has claimed wins over former BAMMA champion, Rob Sinclair, and KSW fan favorite, Lukasz Chlewicki, establishing himself in the conversations for both promotional titles. He took a decision win in his Bellator debut in his last outing over Brazilian, Sergio de Jesus Santos.

Szadzinski (7-2-0) put KSW’s lightweight division on notice when he stopped prospect Maciej Kazieczko in the first round of their clash at KSW 41. He has competed twice under the promotional banner, losing his debut against a vastly more experienced opponent, Kamil Szymuszowski.

Currently on a two-fight win streak, the Pole has gained a reputation for his stopping power on the national scene, finishing all but two of his career opponents to date.
