‘Mighty Mouse’ and Henry Cejudo go at it on Twitter: I play video games and still beat your ‘ass’

It looks like Henry Cejudo and Demetrious Johnson are both doing their part to generate interest in a rematch for the UFC flyweight title, as both men recently got into a comical exchange on social media.

Out of the blue, Cejudo called out Johnson on Twitter for playing video games ‘all day’ and being one of the least popular champions in UFC history.

4)Haven’t fought for 8 months ✅
5)great fighter but nobody cares to watch him and I will kill the mouse @Mickmaynard2 @danawhite

That’s when Johnson, the reigning UFC flyweight champion, fired back by mocking Cejudo for getting ‘worked’ by someone who plays video games on the side and streams on Twitch.tv, the leading video game streaming platform on the internet.

I clocked all those hours in gaming and still worked you ass!

Things didn’t end there, as Cejudo promised to knock ‘DJ’’s ‘block off’ in the inevitable rematch and told the champ he should be grateful for getting people talking about him on social media.

When we fought, you fought a wrestler. You know and I know I’m going to knock your block off next time we fight. Get your shit together let’s do this. Finally people talking about you since I tweeted you. You’re welcome

Johnson, 31, tweeted a snappy response but it was Cejudo who got the last word.

It’s okay keep playing these games I’m training in the jungles in Brazil to beat your ass and when I do you’re not getting a rematch

Johnson, who trains out of AMC Pankration in Kirkland, Washington, knocked out Cejudo just over two years ago at UFC 197 but ‘The Messenger’ has improved leaps and bounds since then, showcasing a vastly improved striking arsenal in his back-to-back wins over Wilson Reis and Sergio Pettis.

Johnson, however, has showed no signs of slowing down, as the pound-for-pound great has gone on to defend his title three more times since his TKO over Cejudo and has surpassed Anderson Silva’s record for the most consecutive title defenses in UFC history (11).

‘Mighty Mouse’ was originally anticipated to fight T.J. Dillashaw in a champion vs. champion superfight, but that fight fell through for undisclosed reasons and Johnson is likely to defend his flyweight title against Cejudo in a championship rematch.
