REY’S PAPERCLIP

Numero Uno WBC super bantamweight contender, Rey Vargas says his next fight may seem like mere paperwork, but he must fold his opponent to stay on course, with no margin for error.

Undefeated and unabashed, lanky Rey, will face dangerous Venezuelan Alexander Muñoz this Saturday in Atizapan.

Rey respects the Venezuelan puncher, stressing it would be a tissue of lies to claim he’s prematurely looking ahead, to stake a claim on the winner of Hugo Ruíz vs. Hozumi Hasegawa, bout for the WBC super bantamweight crown.

Aware that Alexander is a great former world champion on an attractive card, Vargas confides but underlines he’s already been back to the drawing board, to define his headline strategy, in order to be the ruler!

“We have studied his style, and we know he is a fearless and tough rival, with power fists. It will be necessary to be very focused on the first few rounds in order to not give him any opportunity.

” I am thankful about how everything has happened. We have been climbing up, little by little, and finally I can tell you Rey Vargas is good and ready to be WBC world champion!”
