Manny Pacquiao started to put Lucas Matthyssee to the ropes at the start of the round, hitting several two-punch combinations to the face of the Argentinian.
Matthysse managed to land several stiff jabs to the face of Pacquiao when the fight transitioned to the middle of the ring.
That lasted for less than a minute with Pacquiao immediately pushing the offense.
Referee Kenny Bayless gave both fighters a warning regarding head butts as Matthyssee tried to match Pacquiao’s aggression.
Matthysse found some opportunities in the later part of the round but knelt with five seconds left in the round.
