Japan’s Hozumi Hasegawa insists he’s steady and ready to win the WBC super bantamweight championship against division emperor Hugo “Cuatito” Ruiz, on September 16 in Osaka, Japan.
Hozumi, is a former WBC bantamweight and featherweight champion, and now he’s aiming to three times world champion, by conquer the super bantamweight crown. Yet….Hozumi is well aware he will be facing a formidable champion who’s blasted his way to a 90% KO ratio.
Hasegawa has so far faced several Mexican fighters, gaining 9 victories. Stats favor him , as the Mexican fighter was defeated by a Japanese fighter on a hitherto visit to Japan.
“I am sure I will defeat Ruiz. He is a great fighter but experience is certainly on my side. I have 15 title fights and I will be fighting at home.
“This September 16 I will join the elite Japanese group with 3 world championships,” Hozumi predicted.
