Want to know what the athletes in the UFC 227 main and co-main events are guaranteed to walk away with at the end of the night? The defending 125-pound champion, Demetrious Johnson, is promised to leave the main event $380,000 richer. The flyweight title challenger Henry Cejudo is set to earn $100,000, no matter what the outcome of the rematch might be.
In the co-main event, the UFC’s bantamweight king T.J. Dillashaw is also promised a cool $380,000 by the end of the night for defending his crown. The former champ Cody Garbrandt is guaranteed to earn $200,000, win or lose, to challenge once again for the 135 pound belt. These figures do not reflect any potential performance or win bonuses, PPV percentages, nor do they reflect any locker room bonuses (if they’re even still a thing anymore). So, what do you think of these guaranteed payouts?
These figures were reported on Twitter by Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Times:
Guaranteed purses for #UFC227: @MightyMouseUFC $380k, Henry Cejudo $100k, @TJDillashaw $380k, @Cody_Nolove $200k…
Johnson had a $370,000 purse against Ray Borg last October. For his first fight vs. Cejudo, DJ was on a $195,000 purse to Cejudo’s $60,000.
Full UFC 227 payouts will be released after the event.
