Paul Craig will make his return to the Octagon on Dec. 2 in Adelaide when he faces off against top-rated Australian prospect and promotional newcomer, Jim Crute.

UFC confirmed the light-heavyweight bout to MMA Fighting following an initial report from Australian publication, Herald Sun.

Craig (10-2-0) is coming off his dramatic last-second win over another debuting undefeated fighter, Magomed Ankalaev, at UFC London last March. A victory was crucial for Craig in London, as he revealed afterwards that a third consecutive defeat — following knockout losses to Khalil Rountree and Tyson Pedro — would have likely led to his retirement.

The towering Scot is currently 2-2 under the UFC banner having kicked off his career with a slick submission against Luis Henrique da Silva.

Crute (8-0-0) won his place on the UFC roster with a powerful left hook that sent Chris Birchlerreeling back in July when they clashed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series.

“The Brute” has finished five of his eight opponents, claiming two submissions and three stoppages via strikes since his professional debut in 2016. He was a champion under the Hex Fight Series banner before his successful outing on DWTNCS.
