A fight between undisputed cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and Tony Bellew has almost been realized as the pair hash out the final details for them to square off against one another. Usyk’s manager, Egis Klimas, tells ESPN that the two fighters have nearly come to terms for the bout, which would take place at cruiserweight, and that this November is being targeted.

“Alexander and Eddie have been negotiating and I spoke to Alexander and they’re getting very close and most likely it’s going to be completely done (later this week or next week),” Klimas said. “They’re looking in November.”

Should the fight cross the finish line it will be held in the United Kingdom, putting the undisputed champion back on the road. But then again, that’s precisely why Klimas has dubbed Usyk the ‘Road Warrior.’

For Bellew this fight would mean moving back down from heavyweight, where he twice challenged and defeated David Haye, to cruiserweight where he is likely better suited. Bellew has gone on record saying that he knows this is a dangerous fight for him, and that it will indeed be his last outing one way or another.
