Brock Lesnar tested by USADA five times last week

Esther Lin, MMA Fighting

Brock Lesnar may have received an exemption from the four-month rule by USADA, but he is being tested a lot now that he’s in the program.

USADA is wasting no time collecting a bunch of samples from Brock Lesnar. The UFC announced at UFC 199 that Lesnar would be returning for a one-off fight at UFC 200 on July 9th, but because of the short time period before his fight, USADA agreed to make Lesnar exempt from their usual rules – that a returning fighter has to be in the program for four months before he can fight. Since he’s in now, he can be tested. And he is – a lot. Five times last week alone:

As you can see in the chart on the right, that’s three more than anyone else last week.

Lesnar (5-3, 4-3 UFC), a former UFC heavyweight champion, hasn’t competed since a 2011 loss to Alistair Overeem. He has been doing pro wrestling in WWE since then. Lesnar will fight Mark Hunt in the co-main event of the Vegas card, one of the UFC’s biggest events ever.
