UFC veteran Thiago Silva has stepped in for the injured Michal Andryszak and will now face another former UFC fighter, James McSweeney, at KSW 45 in London, England on Oct. 6.
KSW officials confirmed the heavyweight fight to MMA Fighting following Silva announcing that he signed to the promotion on Sunday via Instagram.

The Brazilian’s last outing at heavyweight came at Akhmat Fight Show 18 in Oct. 2016. He claimed a unanimous decision win over Stav Economou.
The Ultimate Fighter 11 contestant McSweeney (15-16-0) is on a three-fight losing streak. In his last fight, he dropped a split decision to Fernando Rodrigues Jr. in their clash at Superior Challenge 17 in May. McSweeney suffered a defeat in his last outing under the KSW banner to heavyweight contender, Karol Bedorf, at KSW 34.
