Shelly Finkel, a representative for WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, tells Sky Sportsthat he has no desire to have a sit-down meeting with Anthony Joshua’s team until he receives a legitimate offer for a fight.

Finkel cites Joshua’s Twitter poll asking fans who they want to see him fight next — which Wilder won — as proof that they’re still avoiding Wilder since they haven’t heard anything about a new offer for the fight.

“Team Joshua does not care what fight the public that supports them wants,” Finkel continued.

”If they did, they would follow the poll they created to determine who the public wants Joshua to fight next. The public spoke and Joshua hid.

”Where is the new offer? Nowhere to be found.”

With Wilder currently scheduled to face Tyson Fury on Dec. 1 at the Staples Center and Anthony Joshua saying he doesn’t intend on waiting for Wilder to take care of business before he schedules his next bout, it seems pretty unlikely that a Joshua-Wilder fight is made for April.

The current expectation is that Joshua will instead end up in a rematch with Dillian Whyte, whom he knocked out in late 2015.
