Mark Hunt will look to ride off into the sunset on a high note when he takes on fellow heavyweightJustin Willis at UFC Adelaide in December.
MMAFighting confirmed the initial report from ESPN.
Willis also took to his Instagram to confirm the matchup Down Under.
Hunt (13-13-1), a former K-1 Grand Prix champion turned UFC title challenger, had been lobbying for a spot on this card in hopes of closing out his UFC career in front of his hometown crowd. He will enter his scrap against Willis coming off back-to-back losses to Curtis Blaydes and Aleksei Oleinik.
Prior to this, “The Super Samoan” finished Derrick Lewis in violent fashion in June 2017.
Willis (7-1), also a former Strikeforce and WSOF veteran, has not tasted defeat since his professional debut in June 2012. Since then, “Big Pretty” has rattled off seven straight wins, four of which ended in (T)KO. In his most recent fight, Willis earned a decision over Chase Sherman in April.
With the addition of this fight, here is how the entire fight card stands:
Junior dos Santos vs. Tai Tuivasa
Mark Hunt vs. Justin Willis
Kai Kara France vs. Ashkan Mokhtarian
The entire event will go down on Dec. 8 at the Venue Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Adelaide, Australia.
