Katie Taylor kept her record perfect tonight in the DAZN co-main event, thrashing Cindy Serrano over 10 rounds to get three scorecards of 100-90, a wipeout. I also scored the fight a shutout for Taylor for BLH.
Taylor came out early and imposed her size, strength, and exuberance in this fight, constantly backing up and hitting Serrano who didn’t have the firepower to keep Taylor honest. By the third round it became clear that Serrano wasn’t really trying to win the fight, just trying to make it out alive, which she did, even if she didn’t win one round along the way.
By the final stretch of rounds Taylor (11-0, 5 KOs) picked up the pace and hit Serrano more and more, but Serrano (27-6-3, 10 KOs) showed a good chin to make it to the final bell.
CompuBox stats demonstrate Taylor’s dominance, with her landing 175 of 405 total punches (43.2%) while Serrano only landed 27 of 249 total punches (10.8%).
