One of the best trainers in the game and one of boxing’s most controversial commentators in boxing has given his take on what he believes happens in the upcoming Manny Pacquiao vs Adrien Broner fight.
The bout is expected to take place in early January in the United States and is being looked at as a fifty-fifty fight by many.
Despite Manny Pacquiao now being at an advanced stage of his career.
Speaking to EsNews on the fight Atlas said:
“Pacquiao, you know, the (Lucas) Matthysse fight is not indicative of what he might have left. Matthysse had nothing left. Don’t go by that. I don’t know how much Pacquiao has left but you might find out in the Broner fight because Broner is young enough, physical enough, talented enough and fast enough where if he’s right for that fight, if he’s in shape and mentally right for that fight, he can give Pacquiao more than is expected.”
The bout should formally be announced in terms of date and venue within the next two weeks or so.
Pending Pacquiao’s US tax issues being resolved in time to give the bout enough time for promotion for a January date as is expected.
