Mexican fighters, Cristian “Diamante” Mijares and Francisco “Chihuas” Rodríguez, will be in the midst of the action on October 29th in Torreon, in a boxing extravaganza organized by Promociones del Pueblo in association with Cancun Boxing, run by Pepe Gómez, and Boxing Time, of Memo Rocha.
The main event of the night stars by the World Boxing Council Silver featherweight champion, Cristian Miajres, against tough Japanese fighter Shohei Kawashima. On the undercard
The two times world champion, Francisco “Chihuas” Rodríguez, will clash with Crison Omayao.
Mijares, who has faced the cream of the crop in the super flyweight, bantamweight, super bantamweight and featherweight divisions, will be defending his Silver belt for the first time. He won the crown on June 4th after defeating Andrés “Jaguar” Gutiérrez in a give and take war, at the International “Oasis Arena Cancun”.
