Peter Queally will meet former teammate Myles Price in a lightweight main card bout in Dublin, Ireland on Feb. 23 at 3 Arena on the recently announced Bellator 218 card.
Bellator confirmed the bout to MMA Fighting on Wednesday.
Queally (11-4-1) was on the verge of fighting for the Fight Nights Global lightweight title following a first-round TKO of Russian fan favorite, David Khachatryan, in May. After parting ways with the Russian promotion, “The Showstopper” was snapped up by Bellator in September.
Price (10-7-0) is a former SBG teammate of Queally’s who signed for Bellator in July. A representative of Team Ryano, Price has recently spent time at AKA during Khabib Nurmagomedov’s UFC 229 camp for his lightweight title fight against Conor McGregor.
The Kilkenny native called for a showdown with Queally on a recent episode of Eurobash.
“I was meant to fight Peter Queally, I think it was twice now, and he pulled out twice. He didn’t give my team any reason as to why he pulled out. I’d like to fight him because of that, to be honest,” said Price.
