Gregor Gillespie will soon be fighting in his home state again.

The Long Island native has been booked to fight Yancy Medeiros at UFC on ESPN+ 1, the first card of the UFC-ESPN deal that’s set to go down on Jan. 19 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. The news was first reported by Newsday on Thursday night.

Gillespie last fought in June at UFC Utica where he submitted Vinc Pichel in the co-main event of the card. The 31-year-old fighter is undefeated with a record of 12–0 that includes five UFC victories.

Medeiros, who’s returning to the lightweight division after having fought four times at welterweight, is looking bounce back from a loss to Donald Cerrone back February. The Hawaiian fighter is currently 15–5 and one no contest as professional fighter.

UFC on ESPN+ 1 is set to be headline by a flyweight title fight involving the defending champ Henry Cejudo and bantamweight champ T.J. Dillashaw.
