A.J. Agazarm expected to make Bellator debut against Jesse Roberts at Bellator 214

Submission specialist standout A.J. Agazarm finally has a date set for his Bellator debut.

On Sunday night, MMA Fighting confirmed the initial report from ESPN of promotion officials targeting a 160-pound catchweight fight between Agazarm and Jesse Roberts for the Bellator 214card on Jan. 26.

Agazarm (0-0), a former Division I wrestler out of Ohio State, previously announced his signing with Bellator in November. While Agazarm has no professional mixed martial arts experience, his grappling credentials include IBJJF World, Pan-Am, Brazilian National and European No-Gi Championships.

Roberts (0-0) will also be making his professional debut after compiling a record of 3-1 in the amateur circuit. Most recently he earned a decision over AJ Fletcher in May.

Bellator 214 will go down on Jan. 26 inside The Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
