Two weeks after he celebrated USADA not finding “jet fuel” on the “murder scene” at UFC 232, Jon Jones once again tested positive for the same turinabol metabolite. News broke Wednesday evening, with VADA test results showing that a sample taken on weigh-in day for UFC 232 contained 33 picograms of the same metabolite.

There’s no proof of reingestion, so they are once again attributing this to Jones’ 2017 test failure. This means that his upcoming title defense at UFC 235 will likely push through, and his next opponent, Anthony Smith has since issued a response.

If you’re hitting me up about this, don’t. I truly dont care. Picograms, no picograms, Olympic sized swimming pools, grains of salt … I couldn’t care any less. I signed on the line and did it knowing what I was signing up for and with no expectations. I’m good, y’all. “If you’re hitting me up about this, don’t. I truly dont care,” Smith said. “Picograms, no picograms, Olympic sized swimming pools, grains of salt ‍♂️… I couldn’t care any less. I signed on the line and did it knowing what I was signing up for and with no expectations. I’m good, y’all. ‍♂️”

As Smith noted on Twitter, he knew what he was signing up for and has no qualms about the matter. It’s certainly an understandable take for a fighter getting ready for the biggest moment of his career.

Jones has been repeatedly claiming that this could be in his system for seven years though, and Cormier did raise an interesting question about it: Will Jon Jones be allowed to always have turinabol in his system now?
