Cian Cowley returns against John Brewin at Brave

By Guilherme Cruz@guicruzzz

Ireland’s own Cian Cowley will return to action on March 15, as he meets John Brewin in a lightweight bout at Brave Combat Federation 22 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Philippines, promotion officials told MMA Fighting.

Cowley (2-1) signed with Brave after being involved in an incident in Brooklyn on April 2018, when he joined Conor McGregor and attacked a bus targeting Khabib Nurmagomedov prior to UFC 233. Cowley scored a pair of finishes since then under the Brave banner.

Brewin, who holds a knockout win over Cowley’s last opponent Hardeep Rai at last year’s Brave 12, is 4-1 as a professional mixed martial artist fighter after racking up a 3-1 record in amateur bouts. Five of those seven wins came by way of stoppage.

Brave CF 22 will be headlined by Stephen Loman vs. Elias Boudegzdame for the bantamweight title, and also features the debut of UFC veteran Jose Torres versus flyweight Amir Albazi.
