Cormier is still looking at his options for his second title defense, but clarified that he isn’t interested in rematching Miocic anymore. The current heavyweight champion laid out three reasons for the change of heart, where he called out Miocic for being “entitled,” and the former champion has issued a response.

Miocic, who lost via first-round knockout at UFC 226 in July 2018, has been adamant about getting another crack at Cormier. He is even willing to make it happen before Cormier’s intended retirement date this March, but according to AKA head coach Javier Mendez, these plans may be put on hold, and Cormier may fight “two or three more times.”
