A lot of people have noted the experience disparity between top-rated British prospect, Fabian Edwards (5-0-0) and former Cage Warriors middleweight champion, Lee Chadwick (24-13-1), ahead of their Bellator clash in Newcastle on Feb. 9.

While some people pondered whether “The Assassin” has bitten off more than he can chew by accepting a fight with Chadwick, Edwards’ brother, No. 10 ranked UFC welterweight Leon Edwards, expects it to be a quick night’s work for his 25-year-old sibling.

“He’s looking fantastic right now,” Edwards told MMA Fighting’s Eurobash podcast.

“I have no worries before this fight. I feel like this is the perfect fight for him in terms of where he’s at in his career. I feel like he’s going to go out there and get a first-round stoppage. Chadwick will come looking for that overhand. Even if he’s looking to grapple, I feel like [Fabian] will get him out of there in one or two rounds.”

Several of Team Renegade’s fighters — both Edwards brothers, Aaron Chalmers, and Tom Breeseto name a few — are set for action in February and March, which “Rocky” claims has created a great environment in the Birmingham facility.

“The gym is rammed, especially after New Years, everyone is in the gym. The gym is buzzing right now. Everyone has fights so we’re all aiming towards February and March. I feel like we’re one of the best teams in the U.K. especially talent wise,” he said.

“We’re all young and we’re just coming into our prime. As I said, the gym is buzzing.”
