DAVAO CITY — Southpaw Jaysever “Lion Heated” Abcede of Bukidnon will
fight against Kento “Prince” Hatanaka of Japan on Aug. 24 at the Takeda
Teva Ocean Arena in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan.They will be the under card of
the WBO World flyweight title fight between defending champion Konsei
Tanaka of Japan and challenger Jonathan Gonzales of Puerto Rico.The 24-
year old Abcede (19W-8L-0D, 12KO) beat Lyster Jun Pronco of Bukidnon by
a unanimous decision last March 3 in Cagayan de Oro City. He earlier TKO’d
Seigo Yuri Akui of Japan in the 8th round in Suntopia, Soja, Okayama last
Oct. 28. Abcede also earlier knockout Yutthana Kaensa of Thailand in the
2nd round to win the World Boxing Association Asia flyweight title last May
18 in Bangkok, Thailand.Hatanaka, on the other hand, is still undefeated
with 9 wins and 9 knockouts. The 21-year old orthodox fighter recently
knockout Thomas Tope Hurek of Indonesia in the 1st round last July 20 in
Aichi, Japan.Earlier last March 16, Hatanaka TKO’d Songsaeng Phoyaem in
the 8th round to retain the WBC Youth World flyweight title in the
Memorial Center in Gifu, Japan.The promoter is Kiyoshi Hatanaka of
