Russia`s Zaur Abdullaev will face former world champion from Montenegro, Dejan Zlaticanin, on September 11 in Ekaterinburg, Russia, for the Silver lightweight title of the World Boxing Council.
Abdullaev (13-1-0, 8 Ko`s) is one of the brightest boxing prospects in his country. The only loss on his record was against reigning champion Devin Haney. In his most recent bout last March, he defeated the Armenian Zhora Hamazaryan by wide decision.
Zlaticanin (24-2-0, 16 Ko’s), has extensive experience in boxing, as he was already a WBC world champion in the lightweight division. Even though he hasn’t fought since 2019, he has remained active and training for an opportunity, and now it’s here.
