Sumbagay Sa Panglao: Sasan Battles Azarcon for ABF Belt Dec 17 in Bohol!

PANGLAO, Bohol   —   Exciting pro boxing presses forward on December 17 in the paradise Island Province of Bohol with “Sumbagay Sa Panglao,” the action-packed new show staged by Panglao Boxing Cup in coordination with veteran Bohol promoter Edgar Ricafort, head of Jimdomar Boxing.

In the main event, local warrior Roldan Sasan (8-4, 3 KO’s) of Carmen, Bohol, will clash in a scheduled 10-round rumble against the more-experienced Clyde Azarcon (17-9-1, 6 KO’s) of Mandaue, Cebu, for the vacant Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) Light Flyweight Continental Title, a tough mission for both fighters.

The event will take place on Sunday, December 17, at the Panglao Cultural Center, the popular venue where Panglaowanons enjoy many of their fun activities, including basketball and boxing.

The co-main event for the entertaining 6-bout show, will feature 56-fight veteran warrior Arnel Tinampay (28-27-1, 13 KO’s) of Dagohoy, Bohol, battling younger Zamboangueño southpaw Junjesie “Tornado” Ibgos Jr. (13-7, 11 KO’s) of Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.

Arnel Tinampay vs Junjesie Ibgos is a non-title eight-round rumble in the middleweight division (160 pounds).

SPECIAL ATTRACTION:    In an international middleweight battle, 23-year-old Japanese-Nigerian JJ Ologun (2-0, 1 KO), born in Nigeria, now living in the Land of the Rising Sun, collides hard against brave Filipino pro boxing debutant Jhon Rey Tario from the City of Golden Friendship, Cagayan de Oro.

At the end of the war, who will rise his hand in sign of victory?

Will the Japanese-Nigerian Ologun get the best of the Pinoy rookie Jhon Rey Tario, when the two fighters collide hard December 17 in Panglao?    Or will the Pinoy debutant Jhun Rey Tario shock and rock Ologun, stepping solid and firm into pro boxing?

Tario, who has trained with coach Macre at Cagayan de Oro’s Aloba Gym, has a thrilling and difficult battle ahead of him, and that is why his family, wife and kid are so much supporting him, 100% standing by him.

Ologun vs Tario will surely thrilling fans in Panglao.  It’s a non-title, four-round clash in 160 lbs division.

MORE FIGHTS IN “SUMBAGAY SA PANGLAO:”

In minimumweights, Boholano Cerwin Genosas (0-1) of San Miguel in northeastern Bohol aims at his first pro boxing win when he takes on debutant warrior Apolinario Cano from nearby Ubay.

Genosas vs Cano is a four-chapter saga at a weight of 105 pounds.

In more action between Boholanos, Brian Bustrillo of Ubay and Mark Cajes of Talibon will make their pro debuts into pro boxing in a 4-chapter bout in the bantamweight division.

And in another clash between Boholano debutants, Daniel Empis of Alicia and Orlando Vitor of Carmen will fight in a scheduled four-stanza encounter in the flyweight division (112 pounds)

AND ten more Exciting Amateur Bouts will complete the boxing event.    If you are in Panglao, this show is for you!

Billed as “Sumbagay Sa Panglao,” this December 17 boxing show at the Panglao Cultural Center is a Panglao Boxing Cup presentation, promoted in coordination with Bohol’s Jindomar Boxing Promotions.
